NN Group title sponsor of North Sea Jazz
Jan Willem Luyken, director of North Sea Jazz: ‘The North Sea Jazz Festival is particularly proud to welcome NN Group as its new naming partner. I’m really looking forward to the collaboration with NN, an amazing international brand that has strong roots in Rotterdam. Just like NN, we are convinced that music pays an important role in society. This common vision forms a strong foundation for a close partnership, in which we will inspire and strengthen each other on many fronts.
Remco Barbier, Head of Branding at NN Group: ‘Music is important for many people. Nearly all of us listen to music every day, and music often plays an important role in major events in our lives. This is closely connected to our brand promise: ‘You matter’, with which we want to convey that what is important to our customers is important to NN. With our partnerships, we want to offer people the opportunity to be part of something special. We’re convinced that, together with North Sea Jazz, we can further realise this ambition in an inspirational way.’
NN Group is an active sponsor in many sectors. Especially those that are close to what is important to people and where a partnership can add value. Our sponsoring activities focus on sport and art, and our partnership with North Sea Jazz has also added music to the mix. In forming these partnerships, NN seeks organisations with common objectives, such as improving the experience of an event or attracting other target groups using an innovative approach. For example, NN developed the ‘Maurits&’ concept with its partner, the Mauritshuis. This is a platform that allows people to get to know the Dutch grand masters in a unique way. In the field of art, the focus in the Netherlands is on partnerships in cities in which NN has a presence. In addition to the Mauritshuis, NN Group is also partner of Kunsthal Rotterdam, the Art Rotterdam art fair and the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag.
NN also wants to help athletes to achieve their goals by getting involved in various sport sponsorship activities, largely focussed on running. NN is the proud sponsor of dozens of running events in Europe and Japan. Since the start of this year, NN is one of the co-sponsors of the NN Running Team, the first professional running team in the world. With this initiative, NN contributes directly to developing running as a sport, and putting it on a more professional footing.
