NN extends inclusive leave to support for LGBTI+ colleagues

At NN, we understand that everyone is different and therefore has different needs at key moments in life. We believe it is important to give colleagues the space they need and to support them during these key moments and therefore we broaden our current special leave into a broader “You matter” leave, a tailormade leave for moments that matter. Based on constructive dialogue between manager and employee, this leave can be adjusted to best support the individual employee, for example while mourning a loved one or to receive gender transition treatment. This follows our step in August 2021 to make parental leave structures inclusive, so that all caregivers have the chance to bond with their children, regardless of their family structure.

Supporting LGBTI+ colleagues and sponsorship of Rotterdam Pride

The “You matter” leave was officially announced during the opening night of the Rotterdam Pride on 16  June. NN is once again strategic partner of Rotterdam Pride, the organiser of pride events in Rotterdam as well as a catalyst for impactful change in cultural and sexual diversity throughout the year. As main sponsor, we are hosting a dedicated NN space to meet with attendees and co-hosting a march through the city of Rotterdam: the Pride Walk.

We were pleased to sponsor Rotterdam Pride again this year, and to underline our support for the LGBTI+ community with our ‘You matter leave.’
