Grandmama wins NN Social Innovation Startup Award 2026

Amsterdam, June 11, 2026 − Grandmama has won the third edition of the NN Social Innovation Startup Award. The award, organised by NN’s Social Innovation Fund in partnership with Rubio Impact Ventures, supports early-stage startups that improve people’s financial, physical and/or mental well-being.

Supporting startups that improve well-being
Europe is ageing, and home care is one of the hardest things families have to figure out. The choice is usually between doing it alone or paying a traditional agency to do it for you. Greek startup Grandmama wants to add a third option. Their AI-powered platform helps families find and coordinate caregivers directly, while ensuring caregivers are paid fairly. Their solutions demonstrates strong potential to create meaningful impact and scale.

With the award, the startup receives a grant of EUR 100,000, as well as access to mentorship, networks and further support to accelerate its growth. Vicky Klimi, co-founder of Grandmama: 'This award means that the caregivers − who show up every day to care for our elders − finally get seen! With this prize, we will help thousands of caregivers to find a decent job, getting our AI tools into the hands of families who desperately need them. We want to prove that we can build a real business by doing right by the most invisible workers in the world.'

The award is part of NN’s broader commitment to contribute to the well-being of people in the communities where it operates. Through its Community Investment programme and the NN Social Innovation Fund, NN contributes to initiatives and social enterprises that support the financial, physical and/or mental well-being of people, especially those who are underserved.
