Championing social enterprises
Launched in 2022, the NN Social Innovation Fund (NN SIF) is committed to championing early-stage social enterprises that provide solutions for improving financial, physical and mental well-being. By supporting social enterprises as part of our community investment programme, we aim to drive social innovation and accelerate our impact.
Scaling is one of the biggest challenges social enterprises face when building their businesses. NN SIF aims to help social entrepreneurs and provide them with the necessary resources such as funding, access to knowledge and networks, and business support to drive social innovation and make a positive impact on society.
What we do
Investment in the Shaping Impact Group
In 2023, the NN Social Innovation Fund invested EUR 500,000 in the Shaping Impact Group’s SI3 fund. This fund focuses on increasing equal opportunities for all and on building an inclusive society where everyone can participate, regardless of their ethnicity, age, gender or disability. The S13 fund targets initiatives that directly contribute to reducing societal inequities and providing equal opportunities. The fund aims to provide opportunities for a minimum of 1 million people.
Investment in Rubio Impact Ventures
In 2024, the NN Social Innovation Fund committed to invest EUR 2 million in Rubio Impact Ventures to support social enterprises that positively impact those whose well-being is at risk. In collaboration with Rubio Impact Ventures, NN Group organises the NN Social Innovation Startup Award, an event that aims to identify and support early-stage tech start-ups that focus on promoting equal opportunities and enhancing mental and physical well-being.
